Best EV Tires of 2025

We’ve assembled a list of recommended EV-specific tires - in alphabetical order — to kick off your shopping adventure. Tires are shown in similar sizes for price-comparison consistency.

Bridgestone Turanza EV

Average Price: $259 per tire, size 235/45R18

“Impressively quiet” is how CarBuzz described Bridgestone’s Turanza EV all-season tires mounted on a Tesla Model 3. The testers also were happy with the tires’ grip. Range-focused drivers will be alert to Bridgestone’s claims that the Turanza EV’s rolling resistance is superior to that of its non-EV-specific Turanza QuietTrack line.

Pros: Quiet ride, low rolling resistance

Brands: Bridgestone supplies original-equipment tires for vehicles from BMW, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Mini and Volkswagen

Continental Conti EcoContact 6

Average Price: $155 per tire, size 235/55R18

Continental, the world’s fourth-largest tire maker, introduced the EcoContact line in 1991, promoting it as environmentally responsible and sustainably produced. The company now markets the EcoContact 6 principally for EVs. This is a summer tire intended for use in mild to warm weather. The Tire Lab says this model is quiet with good range optimization, while the retailer Simple Tire gives it an overall score of 7.9/10,

Pros: Handling, traction, quiet, long range

Brands: Continental supplies tires for new EVs produced by BMW, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Mini and Tesla.

Goodyear ElectricDrive 2

Average Price: $205 per tire, size 215/55R17

Like many newer EV tires, the ElectricDrive 2 incorporates an acoustic foam liner for noise dampening. The manufacturer also claims the tire is made with at least 50% sustainable materials by weight. Other tires in the ElectricDrive range are cheaper: Walmart sells the ElectricDrive SCT in the same size for as little as $101 per tire.

Pros: This all-season tire gets kudos from the retailer Tire Rack for a smooth ride and quietness.

Brands: Goodyear is an Original Equipment (OE) tire supplier for four of the five best-selling EV brands in the U.S. -- Chevrolet, Ford, Honda and Hyundai.

Hankook ION EVO AS SUV

Average Price: $179 per tire, size 215/50R17

As its name implies, the all-season ION EVO AS SUV is intended for electric SUVs, but there’s also a version available (ION EVO AS) for sedans, coupes and hatchbacks -- regular cars, in other words. SimpleTire lauds the ION EVO’s quietness and handling, and notes that it is produced with sustainable materials. Like the Goodyear ElectricDrive, this Hankook model is fitted with a sound-deadening foam insert.

Pros: Quietness and handling.

Brands: Hankook EV tires are found on most new Korean-brand vehicles like Hyundai and KIA, but also show up on new Ford, Tesla, and Volkswagen EVs.

Michelin Primacy MXM4

Average Price: $166 per tire, size 255/45R17

While Michelin offers a line of EV-specific tires like the pricey Pilot Sport EV, it also markets what it calls “EV Ready” tires that it claims are an excellent choice for EVs, if not expressly designed for them. The Primacy MXM4 is one of those products. It has served as the OE tire for the Tesla Model 3, to generally favorable reviews, and it also turns in Michelin’s best rolling-resistance scores, as detailed in this Motor Trend report. Customers for the retailer Priority Tire like these Michelins, giving them an overall rating of 4.8/5.

Pros: Great rolling resistance, affordable price

Brands: Michelin supplies original-equipment tires to many new BMW, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Mini and Tesla EVs.

Pirelli PZero AS Plus Elect

Average Price: $190 per tire, size 225/60R18

Pirelli tires are often associated with high-performance cars, and the company’s marketing literature keeps that image alive with the P Zero AS Plus Elect: “Do you have a taste for hairpin turns, challenging surfaces like slippery roads and powerful braking performance? The P Zero All Season Plus Elect delivers that with a dose of efficiency and longevity.” In a more objective yearlong test by a Reddit poster, the P Zero AS Plus Elect gets nicked for being marginally less efficient than the OE Michelins that came on his Tesla Model 3., but is applauded for quietness, smoothness and snow traction.

Pros: Quietness, smoothness, snow traction

Brands: Pirelli tires are standard equipment on many Mercedes Benz and Tesla vehicles, as well as on all Rivian models.
